More About The Home

At Springfield Care Home, our aim is to enable the residents to continue their lives in comfort in a homely atmosphere, making the choices they desire and maintaining their rights to privacy in a dignified manner.

We aim to provide the best possible care for all of our Residents. Springfield Care Home offers 40 en-suite single or twin-bedded bedrooms, each of which is individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. Each room has an alarm call point, TV aerial and telephone point.

To provide a familiar environment away from their own home, and because this is their new home, residents are encouraged to personalise bedrooms with their own possessions such as favourite ornaments or small items of furniture.

There is a large, comfortable and fully-furnished lounge, together with a smaller lounge providing a quieter environment. The large conservatory, adjacent to the dining room provides an additional seating area, and overlooks the large garden and extensive grounds of the home. There is also a lift for easy access to all inside areas of the Home.

The dining room provides a well-personalised and furnished area for meals and social dining,  though residents are able to take meals in the privacy of their own room if they so wish. An excellent selection of meals is provided at the Home, there is a varied menu and special dietary requirements are catered for. Assistance with feeding is also available.

Residential Care

We offer a quality care service for elderly people needing help with daily activities, including assistance with mobility, dressing and washing.  Medical input is always available from the District Nurses, GPs, therapists and hospitals.

Dementia Care

One of the most common mental infirmities in older people is Dementia-related illness, such as Alzheimer’s Disease, which causes confusion.  We obtain highly specialised advice and expertise, allowing us to offer the most up-to-date best practice and specially-adapted facilities for those suffering from Dementia. We embrace and promote the 'Dignity Challenge'. In particular, we have a zero tolerance of all forms of abuse, and we promote respect, individuality, independence, choices and privacy. Nearly all of our staff team, including care staff, domestic staff and even Directors, are registered Dignity Champions.
